The Balanced Passive Portfolio
The Balanced Passive Portfolio is aimed at medium to long term investors who are seeking above average capital growth from a balanced portfolio of mainly equity investments.
Our passive portfolios comprise a range of funds which replicate the stockholdings of an underlying index, such as the FTSE 100, which follows the market prices of the 100 largest companies in the UK. When the composition of the index changes, so too will the fund's assets.
The 'passive' nature of these funds means that their performance tracks that of the underlying index. Since the fund manager is not seeking out investment opportunities and only changing the composition of the fund when indices change, there are low levels of human involvement and so the funds carry a total expense ratio (TER) of around 0.29%.
The Balanced Passive Portfolio performance is benchmarked against the average performance of the IMA Mixed Investment 40%-85% sector and has a risk rating and investor profile of 5 out of 10.
